Yasir Zaidan, Jackson School doctoral candidate in international studies, pens a piece titled, “U.S. Sudan Sanctions Won’t Work Without the UAE’s Help,” about the recent move in September by the United States to impose sanctions on senior leaders of the Wagner Group-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which has been fighting the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) since violence erupted in Khartoum on April 15.
