COVID-19 Demographic, Political, and Health Database

NSF Rapid Grant for COVID-19

Research Report

In the Summer of 2020, the Global Research Group research team collaborated with researchers at University of Washington and Louisiana State University to help the joint initiative study differential responses to trustworthy information regarding COVID -19. To complement an analysis of Twitter data, the UW GRG team created databases for contextualizing the geographic, demographic, political, and health information related to varied information sources. The compiled data will serve the project through its year long duration, providing contextual information, state and county demographic information, and an independent database that can be utilized for further analysis of the perception, spread, and landscape of COVID-19 responses and associated information.
