Pyle Assistant Professor Daniel Bessner suggests that if the left wing of the Democratic Party wants to be taken seriously, it must speak convincingly about security and diplomacy. Bessner points out that there is an opportunity for left-wing politicians here, as many Americans are fed up with the business as usual approach in foreign policy, as they are with the economic status quo.
