Chonlawit Sirikupt, who earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies at the Jackson School in 2015, co-authors an article published in the Washington Post’s Monkey Cage titled “Russia’s disinformation campaigns are targeting African Americans” that analyzes how Russian disinformation operations may be making a comeback ahead of the U.S. presidential elections in November.
In researching the piece, Sirikupt and his two graduate school colleagues at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in Germany conducted an exploratory textual and visual analysis of a large dataset that contained suspected Russian-linked tweets sent from Ghana and Nigeria.
