CANCELLED: Spring 2018 Teachers’ Conference in Korean Studies Focused on History and Social Studies in Secondary Schools (K-12)

The University of Washington Center for Korea Studies at the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies is hosting a KOREA IN THE NEWS! High School K-12 Teachers Workshop on Saturday May 19, 2018 from 9-4pm . The Center for Korea Studies invites Washington State High School Social Studies and History teachers (K-12) to a special one-day workshop.  Six clock hours are available for each teacher who attends.  The University of Washington Center for Korea Studies has carefully selected Korea Studies experts who will provide 6 hours of training and materials on the history, culture, politics, and current events related to the Korean Peninsula.  Teachers will also receive carefully selected books and reference materials for both educators and students. This includes standards-based lesson planes, Power-Point lectures, and art project instructions.  Korean Lunch is provided for all participants!

Participants must register by Monday March 1, 2018 by 5PM Pacific Time

Spring 2017 Teachers’ Conference in Korean Studies for K-12 Washington State Teachers

 

The Center for Korea Studies invites K-12 Washington State teachers and their colleagues to a special one-day workshop event at the University of Washington. Registration is free, free lunch and six clock hours will be provided!
