**DUE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK, THE 72nd and 73rd TOPIK EXAMS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.
Students and community members interested in attending universities or working in Korea are encouraged to take the TOPIK exam. This exam takes place two times a year in the spring (April ) and fall (September) and is conducted by the Republic of Korea National Institute for International Education, Ministry of Education. The University of Washington is certified as a testing agency for the TOPIK exam.
Proficiency in the TOPIK exam allows for non-native speakers of Korean to gain entrance into Korean universities and to obtain employment with public and private Korean-owned companies both in Korea and abroad.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 72nd and 73rd TOPIK exams for Fall 2020 have been cancelled. As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to rise, it is difficult to guarantee a safe environment for test takers and staff.
Therefore, it is with great regret to announce that both the 72nd and 73rd TOPIK exams hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle have been canceled. We hope to hold the TOPIK exam again in 2021.
