Sierra Rupp

About
Sierra Rupp (she/her) is a current graduate student in Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies. Sierra earned a BA in Political Science from Southwestern University, with minors in Spanish and International Studies. Her undergraduate research paper “From Fields to Frontlines: The Relationship Between Drug Trafficking & Armed Conflict,” was published in the Pi Sigma Alpha Spring 2024 Journal and presented at the 2024 national conference. She was also a Fulbright ETA in Spain (2024–2025) and received two Critical Language Scholarships for Russian (2023, 2024). Sierra is the current recipient of the JSIS Titus Ellison Fellowship, with research focuses in Ukraine, armed conflict, drug trafficking, and illicit trades.
