Rafeel Wasif
About
Rafeel Wasif is a graduate student in the Department of Political Science at the University of
Washington. He is also a former Fulbright scholar (2012-14). His research interests include
social media, political participation and NGOs, with special focus on the use of natural language
processing, social networks and other novel data sources to study politics and electoral
systems. Prior to starting his PhD, Rafeel received an M.A. in International Studies from the
University of Washington and B.Sc. in Economics and Political Science from the Lahore
University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Pakistan.
