Arna Elezovic is a PhD student at the University of Washington. She earned her Master’s degree in History June 2014. She is a recipient of a Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (BCS) language FLAS fellowship for 2015-2016. Her areas of study are the history of archaeology, modern Europe, the late Ottoman Empire, and Bronze Age Greece. For research, she is particularly interested in how material culture has affected the development of nationalisms in the Balkans. She is pursing a REECAS graduate certificate to augment her degree program and because her family is from the Dalmatian coast.
