Anastasia Kharitonova

Anastasia Kharitonova-Gomez is interested in the intersection between migration and politics. In particular, she seeks to study how Soviet-era forces shape the identity formation and political behavior of diaspora populations from former Soviet states. Prior to joining the REECAS program, Anastasia completed a double B.A. in political science and journalism at Seattle Pacific University. Outside of the classroom, Anastasia enjoys helping refugees learn English and listening to Russian rock.
