State Literary Museum is the largest literary museum in Russia and one of the largest literary museums in the world, created for the purpose of documenting and presenting exhibitions on the entire history of Russian literature from its inception to the present day. Such ambitious objectives can only be realized if there is a rich collection of the museum, and the State Literary Museum has such a collection. The collection is universal and in it are stored more than 500 000 exhibits.
