The Hungarian Electronic Library (MEK) has been operating as a civil movement since its launching in the Hungarian webspace. Hundreds contributed to the development of the collection – as individuals or as representatives of corporate sponsors – with documents offered to the collection, volunteer work or ideas and suggestions. The archives enable users to search an increasingly high-quality supply of web-content in Hungarian language. Users, also, can make propositions concerning the archiving of material found on other servers, give a hand in document-conversions for the collection, or help by simply taking part in PR-tasks.
