This seminar explored Japan and China during World War II, with presentations covering topics such as military victories and defeats, the first six months of 1942, Japan’s six aircraft carriers that reshaped global history, and the diplomatic, economic, and domestic crises of the 1930s that led to the Pacific War.

Participants were expected to watch (at their convenience) and send in comments on a series of online lectures each week beginning Monday, January 26, 2026 through Monday, March 2, 2026. The lectures consisted of fifteen YouTube presentations (30 to 35 minute each). There were also two Q&A Zoom sessions with Dr. Shelton Woods:
