Write About Asia
The Write About Asia (WAA) workshop series takes place several times every year, and is offered by the East Asia Resource Center in conjunction with the Seattle Asian Art Museum’s Gardner Center for Asian Art and Ideas Saturday University Lecture Series.
Each Saturday during the series, educators attend the public lecture and then meet for a writing workshop led by seminar leader Mary Barber Roberts. The workshop begins with time for solitary writing in response to the morning lecture. The group then reconvenes to share working drafts. The workshops nurture educators as writers through self-reflection and group discussion.
Free admission to the lecture and four free clock hours are available for each workshop. Educators need to commit to attending at least two lectures. The workshop is open to current K-12 teachers.
