Overview of programs
Credit options
Professional development credits (Washington State OSPI clock hours) are provided at no charge for all EARC programs of at least three hours. Academic credit is available for an additional fee for some longer programs.
Washington State OSPI Clock Hours and Montana Renewal Units
The EARC is approved by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to provide Washington State Continuing Education Clock Hour Credits (clock hours). Thanks to our grant funding, the EARC does not charge for clock hours.
The EARC is also approved by the Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) to provide Montana Renewal Units.
University credit
Some of EARC’s multi-day intensive seminars can be taken for university credits instead of professional development credits. In addition to the University of Washington, the EARC works with several other universities in the Pacific Northwest to grant credit, including Boise State University, the University of Alaska Anchorage and Southern Oregon University.
