About

The Arctic is undergoing significant changes. Some of these changes are geopolitical, social, and biological. Thus, the bridge between science and politics is vital in handling or adapting to these changes. After taking Arctic Marine Vertebrate Ecology (FISH464) with Dr. Laidre, I realized that understanding the ecological impacts associated with the Changing Arctic fascinated me. With the Arctic Studies minor, I want to integrate my background in biology with the social and political aspects of the Arctic. In the future, I plan to utilize this perspective in ecological research.
