My name is Boo Dodson and I am a second-year student at the Law School. I am also pursuing a joint master’s at Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Over the past few years I was lucky to study Canada and French more closely through FLAS. This year, I explored many legal issues surrounding Canada’s involvement in international trade, Canadian Constitutional Law, and most notably the expansion of indigenous title rights after the landmark 2014 Tsilqhot’in decision. In the future, I hope to work as an international arbitrator or for the U.S. Government as an attorney or policy analyst. Regardless of my path, my experience in FLAS and research into Canada will greatly assist my future work.
