Boo Dodson
About
My name is Boo Dodson and I am a third-year student at the UW School of Law. I am also pursuing a joint master’s at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where I specialize in international economics and foreign policy issues of Francophone countries. I am returning to UW in the Winter of 2021 after a year and a half away at SAIS. Over the past few years, I have been lucky to study Canada and the French language more closely through FLAS. I hope to continue exploring issues surrounding Canada’s involvement in international trade, Canadian constitutional law and, most notably, the expansion of Indigenous title rights after the landmark 2014 Tsilhqot’in decision. In the future, I hope to work as a Native American law attorney or for the U.S. Government in a legal or policy capacity. Regardless of my path, my experience in FLAS and research on Canada have already and will continue to influence my future.
