About

Hello! I am a second-year master’s student in museology. I am interested in how museums are used as places of cultural representation and as vehicles for public diplomacy. Thanks to FLAS, I will be researching Canadian museum models and strategies for community curation. I think American and Canadian museums can learn from each other to make museums more equitable and representative of their diverse communities.

In the future, I would like to work for organizations that promote heritage conservation across borders such as the International Council of Museums, UNICEF, or the State Department. Regardless, the FLAS fellowship will provide me with the French language skills I need to pursue my research and give me the tools I need to gain a better understanding of Canadian museum models.
