Dr. Nadine C. Fabbi is the Director of the Canadian Studies Center. She has served as Managing Director at UW since 1999. Active in the national Canadian Studies community, she has served on the Executive Council of the Association for Canadian Studies (2003-07) and currently sits on the board of the Pacific Northwest Canadian Studies Consortium, editorial board of the American Review for Canadian Studies, and was just invited to serve as co-editor of the editorial board of the International Journal of Canadian Studies. She is also the US representative for University of the Arctic’s Academic Leadership Team. Fabbi has a master’s degree in Canadian Studies from Carleton University and a received her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2015. Recent publications include Makippugut (We are Standing Up): Public Policy and Self-Determination in Nunavik, American Review of Canadian Studies 47(2), 2017; and, “Ukiuqta’qtumi Hivuniptingnun: One Arctic, One Future,” 2017 co-authored with former FLAS Fellow in Inuktitut J. Young and published by the Canadian Arctic Resources Committee.
