About

A political scientist by education, Miguel has been an EU civil servant since 2018, when he joined the European Commission, the executive branch of the European Union. Currently, he works at the Directorate-General (“EU Ministry”) for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, focusing on the EU Arctic policy, a multidisciplinary policy covering all areas affecting the Arctic, as well as bilateral relations with the US and Canada, focusing on ocean governance.
