About

Hello! My name is Megan Beik, I’m entering my third year as an Environmental Science and Resource Management major with a concentration in restoration ecology and horticulture. I’m hoping that the Arctic Studies minor will help me towards my goal of becoming a botanist that specializes in Arctic and sub-Arctic vegetation. I’m originally from Mountain Lakes, New Jersey and I’ve really enjoyed my time in the Pacific Northwest so far! You can find me outside whenever I have free time; some of my favorite hobbies include hiking, climbing, gardening, snowboarding, and foraging! I’m so excited to be part of the Arctic Studies community!
