Mattias Zeni
About
My name is Mattias Zeni – a third year Queen’s University student majoring in Mathematics and Engineering, with a specialization in Systems and Robotics. After building my first home computer in the 9th grade, I developed a particular interest in the way that hardware components interact to realize a computation or process. This led to many hours of hands-on tweaking with computer systems, hardware overclocking, and computer programming. However, it was only after exploring the nuances of this industry that I knew that my interest would shape my future career.
Through the Killam Fellowship Program, I will be attending the University of Washington to deepen my understanding of mathematics and their application to digital systems. I aim to leverage the world-class instruction, industry opportunities, UW’s beautiful campus, and Seattle’s incredible coffee to introduce new application-optimized computer systems to the world!
