Marion Cook

About

Marion Cook (1936-2022) joined the UW in 1984 where she started her career with the School of Nursing. She later joined the Jackson School as Business Manager for the Center for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies. In 1990 she became the Program Coordinator for the Canadian Studies and Middle East Studies Centers. She retired in 2015. Marion was loved by all of the affiliated faculty of Canadian Studies who knew her by the many email communications she oversaw. Marion particularly loved to meet our students and to watch them succeed. Marion had a beautiful heart and will be terribly missed by the Center and the Jackson School. She gave years of her life to both and for that, we will forever be grateful.
In Marion Cook’s memory, her family has asked that donations in her honor go to the Canadian Studies Endowed Student Scholarship Fund. Click here to contribute.
