About

Hello! I’m Kaper, a senior undergraduate at the University of Washington in Seattle. I’m majoring in Biology and have a deep interest in Canadian history and Arctic ecosystems.

I’m particularly interested in the intersection of Indigenous studies and how it shapes modern Arctic conservation and research. I’m hoping to deepen my understanding of these connections from a Canadian perspective, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to do so as a Killam Fellow at the University of Calgary.

I’m also really looking forward to meeting students with both shared passions, and diverse experiences. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors through birding and hiking. I’m very excited to explore all the national parks around Calgary!
