Eva Khosin

Global and Regional Studies, UW to University of British Columbia, 2021-2022 Corbett Recipient

About

My name is Eva Khosin and I am entering my third year as a global and regional studies major at the University of Washington. I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of seven. Ever since then I have grown to become a true Seattleite.

Having spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, my family and I have made it an annual tradition to visit our northern neighbors. However, this year, I will be traveling to Canada as an exchange student through the Corbett Exchange Program at the University of British Columbia Vancouver.

I am honored and excited for this opportunity and experience to further both my academic and personal goals and professionally by being an active global citizen in recognizing the contrasting socioeconomic and health factors on an international scale through courses and career opportunities. I hope to spend my time at UBC learning about diverse cultures and communities while contributing as an engaging first-generation exchange student.

The Corbett British Columbia-Washington International Exchange Program Fund provides an opportunity for undergraduate students at the University of Washington to spend two semesters at the University of British Columbia or University of Victoria; and for students from the University of British Columbia and University of Victoria to spend three quarters at the University of Washington.
