About

Hi!! I’m Emma Rosenberg (she/her). I’m a pre-arts major going into my second year at UW. I’m an artist (I love painting, drawing, embroidery, and basically any visual art method you can think of) born in Queens, NYC and raised in Seattle! Because my parents aren’t from the Pacific Northwest, in the past few years I’ve found a new love and appreciation for the region, and an exchange to the University of Victoria is a perfect extension of that for me. My grandmother is a proud Canadian, and I’m excited to engage with cultural differences and experiences she might be familiar with.

At UVic I am excited to take Indigenous studies classes alongside my arts concentration so I can broaden my perspective of this beautiful landscape. In my free time, I love to watch movies, play video games and write. I am so excited to create relationships with people in Canada, to understand our interconnected histories in Seattle and Victoria Island, and to continue to connect with the arts and nature of the Pacific Northwest.

The Corbett British Columbia-Washington International Exchange Program Fund provides an opportunity for undergraduate students at the University of Washington to spend two semesters at the University of British Columbia or University of Victoria; and for students from the University of British Columbia and University of Victoria to spend three quarters at the University of Washington.
