Clinton Westman (Ph.D.) is the Fulbright Canada Special Foundation Fellow at the Canadian Studies Center, University of Washington, 2025-26. He is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Saskatchewan, with specializations in environmental anthropology and anthropology of religion. Since 1996 he has been working with northern Alberta Indigenous communities. He is the director of Cultural Politics of Energy, a SSHRC (Social Science and Humanities Research Council)-funded community-engaged research partnership. He holds degrees in Anthropology, Environmental Studies, and Humanities, and has worked for government and First Nations on multiple environmental, litigation, and negotiation files.
