Chase Puentes (she/her) is a PhC in Geography, with previous academic training in marine biology and policy as well as American Indian and Indigenous studies. She is dedicated to supporting Arctic Indigenous self-determination, and has engaged in co-productive climate adaptation work with Iñupiaq community members in Kivalina, Alaska for over four years. Her dissertation focuses on the intersections between climate change, gender, and Iñupiaq food provisioning. Chase has also taught in Inuit Nunaat and worked on a circumpolar civic education project in Sápmi.
