About

I am a J.D. candidate at the University of Washington School of Law from Alaska. My interest has been in U.S. relations with the Arctic states, Canada in particular. During my first year of law school, I developed a strong interest in corporate and IP law. With a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship , I will build a program of study focused on comparing Canadian and U.S. law in these areas, especially looking to knowledge-sharing programs and partnerships. FLAS will also enable me to work toward French fluency. Speaking French at an advanced level will be a significant asset to my career. As a law professional, this will allow me to understand better and work with clients and colleagues as I engage transactional and IP issues with francophone countries.
