Hedwige Meyer (French and Italian Studies) visited Québec City in July 2023 thanks to the financial support of the Canadian Studies Center, the Department of French and Italian Studies, and a grant from the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie of the Quebec government. Meyer met with Suzie Beaulieu from the Association Internationale des Études Québécoises to plan for an author visit in winter 2024. She also met with Jérémy Lévesque from the Librairie Hannenorak in Wendake, where she purchased books for her upcoming FRENCH 441: Québécois Literature course (winter 2024). The meeting with the delegates from the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie had to be postponed at the last minute, but happened virtually two weeks later, and resulted in the possibility of an upcoming visit to to the University of Washington by the Ministre des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie, as well as a Québécois film projection which will happen in March 2024.
