It’s the time of year when gowns are donned, diplomas are received, and dreams of what’s next begin to come to fruition. This year the Jackson School is proud to have over 180 graduates receiving Ph.D., masters, and undergraduate degrees. We’re highlighting four of these graduates whose accomplishments span holding leadership positions with the Jackson School Student Association (JSSA), to mentoring other students on campus and abroad.
Sejal Antal: From JSSA leadership to prepping for the LSATs
Major: International Studies and Political Science

Sejal declared her international studies major her first quarter at UW. Since then she’s held leadership positions with JSSA, secured an internship helping low-income and marginalized communities, all while taking a full course load. Read what Sejal has to say about her time at the Jackson School.
Kalisha Dent: Building leadership skills through international opportunities

Minor: Korean Language
Over the course of her time at the Jackson School, Kalisha was able to go to Korea twice, even securing an internship working with young students. Back in Seattle, Kalisha served as editor for her Donald C. Hellmann Task Force Program team and was a JSSA leader. Read more about Kalisha.
