The East Asia Library at the UW features over 737,000 volumes of material related to East Asia. This includes a robust collection of material related to Taiwan.

Our UW East Asia librarians have written an extensive library research guide to aid students and scholars conducting research projects on Taiwan.

East Asia Center

The East Asia Center (EAC) at the University of Washington promotes teaching and learning about China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan across disciplines, across campus, and in the community. Founded in 1964, it is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and designated a National Resource Center.

East Asia Resource Center

The East Asia Resource Center (EARC) provides a wide range of outreach programming and services to K-12 educators nationwide. The EARC helps educators expand and update their knowledge of China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan; recommends effective resources and strategies for teaching about East Asia; and develops quality curriculum materials.

The EARC, along with the World Affairs Council, has offered a workshop for K-16 educators on Taiwan Studies.

North American Taiwan Studies Association (NATSA) Syllabus Database

The North American Taiwan Studies Association (NATSA) has a database project collecting English language course syllabi from higher education institutions and instructors on Taiwan Studies.  Their report and syllabi can be accessed on their project website.
