Susan Hou a.k.a 侯揚洵 (they/them) is a doctoral student in Learning Sciences and Human Development at the University of Washington. Their research focuses on adult learning in social movements, particularly how affect and emotion are intertwined with race, racism, and anti-racism. They focus on racialization in the U.S., where they currently reside, and in Taiwan, where they grew up as a Han Taiwanese person in 高雄 (Kaohsiung). Outside of research, they finds great joy in being with their queer communities and contributing through Queer Taiwan 臺灣酷兒 and UW International Pride.
