Dragon boat Festival in Kaohsiung, Taiwan

Kaohsiung, Taiwan, June 19, 2015: People racing in the Love River for the Dragon Boat Festival in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The Dragon boats festival has its roots in an ancient folk ritual of contending villagers in southern China. For competition events, dragon boats look like dragons. Dragon boat races are traditionally held during the Duanwu Festival or Duen Ng observance in China and Taiwan.
