An 18-hour documentary series that promised a fresh perspective on one of the most controversial wars in recent history was the focus of a panel discussion on Saturday, October 7.
The Vietnam War series, co-directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, brought together Vietnam veterans, members of Veterans for Peace (VFP), UW professors and students, and the general public, to reflect and debate the narratives promoted in the series, as reported in this article by the UW Daily about what happened at the event.
The event was co-sponsored by the Jackson School of International Studies, the UW Southeast Asia Center, and the Seattle chapter of Veterans for Peace (VFP).
