Angelina Godoy, chair of the University of Washington Center for Human Rights which is housed in the Jackson School, and Tony Lucero, Jackson School professor and chair of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, are among 32 faculty members from the Tacoma, Bothell and Seattle campuses who received the UW Latinx Faculty Recognition honor this year by the UW Latino Center for Health.

Notably, Dolores Huerta, a nationally renowned labor leader and civil rights activist, was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at this year’s Latinx Faculty Recognition Event. Due to COVID-19 however, the event was canceled. So instead, she recorded this video message for the Latinx faculty honorees.
President Ana Mari Cauce also recorded a video message for the honorees.
