Jackson School Professor Robert Pekkanen has co-authored an Oxford University Press book titled “Party Personnel Strategies: Electoral Systems and Parliamentary Committee Assignments” that offers a theory of how political parties assign their elected members to specialized legislative committees to serve collective organizational goals. The book will be published on June 27, 2021.
Pekkanen’s most recent book, also co-edited, was published in February 2021 by Oxford University Press, which was the first paperback edition of “The Oxford Handbook of Electoral Systems.” Pekkanen is also an adjunct professor at the Departments of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Washington.
