China expert Prof. David Bachman was quoted in an article published by Radio Free Asia titled “China Argues Over ‘Belt and Road’ Goals“. Bachman addressed China’s industrial overcapacity problem tied to its One Belt, One Road initiative aimed to build infrastructure outside its borders for trade with Europe and Africa. Bachman called China’s political maneuvering an attempt to balance the grand vision with a number of its internal problems.
