Ph.D. student’s editorial for UW Clean Energy Institute

The UW Clean Energy Institute recently published Jackson School Ph.D. student Dustin Welch Garcia’s editorial, “Energy for the Forgotten in Peru.” The article uses Peru as an example of how some developing countries are attempting to provide energy infrastructure to their “forgotten” populations. Welch Garcia is a graduate fellow at the Clean Energy Institute. His research asks when and why NGO-led electrification programs catalyze innovation in large-scale, public/private solar energy projects.
