King5 TV aired “Central American migrant caravan the focus of UW panel discussion,” a story about our Nov. 5 “The Caravan” public event that featured four of our Jackson School faculty experts on migration, human rights and Latin America. The panel also included an Information School student with ties to the affected region in Central America.
Angelina Godoy, Director of the UW Center for Human Rights and Professor of International Studies and Law, Societies, and Justice, gives an additional interview about the issues facing the migrant group from Central America heading north to the U.S. border. “They’re fleeing, above all, because they’re in fear for their lives,” said Godoy.
