Jackson School Director and Professor Dr. Reşat Kasaba shares his view in an interview with KUOW radio about Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear agreement. He says Iran was not in breach of the international agreement, and expressed concern that a move away from the treaty will further isolate the United States, strengthen the hand of more conservative groups in Iran, and may pave the way of the re-start of Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

Local companies like Boeing who have been involved in preliminary deals with Iran, may be affected, Kasaba noted, depending on the nature of the sanctions.
