IPI Arctic Fellow presents on Arabs in the Arctic at the 8th Annual Gulf Research Meeting at University of Cambridge

In early August Marwa Maziad, a doctoral candidate in the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies and IPI Arctic Fellow, co-directed a workshop at the 8th Annual Gulf Research Meetings title The Arab Gulf in the West: Perceptions and Realities, Opportunities and Perils. As part of the workshop, Maziad presented on her research on the correlation between the 1973 Egyptian war with Israel and Arab oil embargo and Inuit political mobilization and subsequent global interest in Arctic oil and gas reserves and the relationship to further Indigenous internationalism.
