Pavandeep Singh Josan, who is earning his master’s in South Asian Studies at the Jackson School and grew up in the United Kingdom surrounded by soccer, is featured in a UW News story titled, “New UW resource explores the politics and culture behind the World Cup” (May 22, 2026).

The 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup games will be played in Seattle from June 19 through July 6

Josan took a course with Ron Krabill, professor in UW Bothell’s School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences and director of the Global Sport Lab in the Jackson School that led Krabill to ask Josan to serve as the managing editor for a new website: World Cup: The Syllabus.
