
Danny Hoffman
Danny Hoffman, a professor with joint appointments at the Jackson School and Comparative History of Ideas at the University of Washington, has been named Interim Director of the Jackson School of International Studies.
Hoffman, who has taught at the UW since 2004, has previously served as chair of African Studies and associate chair of Anthropology. He is the Bartley-Dobb Professor for the Study and Prevention of Violence.
His research focuses on militarization in West Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University.
