In a story titled, “A Tlingit Leader in the Making,” Stephanie Masterman, who earned a bachelor’s degree in American Indian Studies and a minor in Arctic Studies in 2022, is featured in the University of Washington College of Arts & Sciences June issue of Perspectives.

The Arctic Studies minor is a collaboration between the Canadian Studies Center, housed at the Jackson School, and the School of Oceanography in the College of the Environment. The minor trains students to work with international organizations, national governments, and sub-national organizations, and to pursue graduate study at the intersection of science and policy in the polar regions.
