JungHee Kim

JungHee Kim joined the Department of Asian Languages & Literature at the University of Washington in 2018 as a Senior lecturer in Korean language. Her experience before joining the UW includes working at the University of Virginia, Boston University, University of Michigan, and Harvard University in the states, and Sogang University and Konkuk University in South Korea since 1993.

She received a master’s degree from Ewha Women’s University with a thesis on the study of Korean as a foreign language. Her teaching and research interests are pedagogy of Korean, curriculum design, Korean language acquisition through culture and technology assisted language education.
