Educators joined us for this unique opportunity to learn more about how museums care for objects in their collection with Ellen Chase, Objects Conservator at the National Museum of Asian Art, and Melanie King, art historian. In this two-part program, participants learned how a conservator evaluates, conserves, and cares for three-dimensional objects in the collection of the National Museum of Asian Art. They also learned about the agents of deterioration and had the opportunity to apply the information presented to real-life examples that could be translated into classroom activities.
