Staying informed about global events, especially in East Asia, can be overwhelming with the constant flood of news. That’s why we’re excited to offer Behind the Headlines, an online series designed specifically for teachers. This series provides a clear and insightful overview of recent developments in Taiwan, South and North Korea, China, Xinjiang, Japan, and Hong Kong. Renowned regional experts will share in-depth analyses and context, helping you better understand the complexities of these regions. You’ll also have the chance to engage directly with the experts, asking questions that matter most to you, fostering a rich and educational discussion on the current state of East Asia. The speakers include distinguished faculty from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington and other leading institutions. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your knowledge and bring fresh perspectives to your classroom.
