Thyda Ros

About

Thyda Ros is a MSW student with a concentration in community-centered integrative practice and FLAS Fellow studying the Khmer Language. She plans to mobilize herself across Washington State doing outreach within Cambodian/Khmer communities to address health disparities and social issues that have been negatively affected by generational trauma. Thyda wants to help reduce, and eventually eliminate, the systemic and institutional barriers to access the necessary care/resources Cambodian/Khmer communities need as well as the need to embrace language preservation, cultural values that encompass an equity and inclusion framework, social connection, belonging, and respect.
