Special Topics in Southeast Asian Studies

This course is designed as an orientation and introduction to Southeast Asian Studies for incoming MA students. The course will focus on contemporary research and writing about Southeast Asia, and will include Southeast Asian novels and film as a way to explore current themes and debates in the field. The course will feature regular lectures and presentations by core UW Southeast Asian studies faculty from across disciplines.
